A spelling bee can be defined as: "a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty."

FHO's Spelling Bee has been around since 2015, where we have seen many participants win amazing prices!

Learners will pay a small amount in June and receive a list to study (we have two levels- Senior Phase and FET words), there is a practice round in August where learners get the chance to prepare for the competition, which takes place at the end of August.

Some of our winning words were: hemorrhage, paleontology, zenith, reverberates.
