Friday wear is a privilege and a way to feel more comfortable. It is also a way to reward learners for their hard work and their neat appearance. Fridays are still a formal school day and therefore learners should also look at their best in their Friday wear.
Learners are allowed to wear the following on Fridays:
- Normal school uniform.
- Odie shirt with Odie pants.
- Odie shirt with neat, blue jeans.
- Odie shirt with Odie tracksuit pants.
- House shirt with neat, blue jeans.
- House shirt with Odie tracksuit pants.
- With the Odie shirt or House shirt they wear either the tracksuit top or school jersey.
- Only lace up sport shoes (tekkies) allowed.
- Only school socks.
Learners are NEVER allowed to wear the following:
- Wear a tracksuit top with formal school uniform.
- Wear a Odies shirt / House shirt with formal school pants, shorts or skirt.
- Wear a Odies shirt / House shirt from Monday - Thursday (see uniform rules for Grade 8 & 9 on LO days).
- Mix summer and winter uniform.
- Wear a scarf or beanie with Friday wear.
- Any other shoes than tekkies with Friday wear (NO crocs, flip flops, slippers, slip ons, boots, etc).
- Wear any other socks than school socks with Friday wear.
- Civvie jackets, hoodies, jerseys or tops with Friday wear.
Jeans wat are allowed:
- Neat blue jean.
- Normal straight or skinny jean.
- Knee-high jeans are allowed in summer.
- Normal straight or skinny jean.
Jeans that are not allowed:
- Ripped, torn, embellished, waxed jeans.
- Decorated jeans (with glitter, pearls, embroided, words, or any other decoration).
- Faded, snow washed or bleached jeans.
- Fashion jeans (like bell bottoms, wide legs, etc).
- Chinos.
- Shorts.
All appearance rules still apply. Therefore hair must still be tied and no jewellery are allowed.
All uniform rules still apply. Jeans must be pulled up to the waist and be worn with a appropriate belt.
